The Scenar is a portable, easy-to-operate and fully-approved therapeutic device designed to be used not only in hospitals but at home or work, or for sport. A number of attachments can be plugged in allowing a knee, elbow or back to be treated while you continue working.
Scenar therapy draws on conventional medicine as well as traditional Chinese medicine and centres on the concept that the human body is a finely tuned functional system continually maintaining its own self balance. Scenar’s deep, and usually permanent, results make it one of the most effective of all complementary therapies, and its reputation is growing fast – a good example is this March 2011 report from Australia’s Channel 9 (Video in the right panel).
What can SCENAR treat?
Conditions most effectively treated are:
- Skeletal, muscular and nerve pains
- Sprains, strains, swellings
- Hematomas, inflammation
- Digestive, circulatory, respiratory difficulties
- Chronic fatigue and stress
Results reported for the SCENAR have been remarkable. There seems to be very few ailment categories that it cannot assist. Improvements in conditions such as aching muscles, arthritis, neuralgia, swelling, carpel tunnel, migraine, pmt, reflux, headaches, sinus, chronic fatigue, sciatica, gout and many more, are simply the result of applying procedures developed over two decades of the device’s use to effect a change in skin/body response to the SCENAR signal/impulse.
A SCENAR treatment
The therapist will apply the device to your skin until you feel a tingling sensation. The initial treatment can take up to one hour, and subsequent treatments between 30 -40 minutes. Clients generally experience an increase in refreshing sleep and an improved sense of well-being.
Is SCENAR safe?
A Scenar impulse is similar to the body’s natural electro-neuro impulses. It is therefore safe and will not damage any part of the body systems.
People with metallic implants such as pins, plates, screws, as well as hip/knee replacements ARE able to receive Scenar therapy.
However people with a demand-type cardiac pacemaker are NOT allowed to have Scenar treatment.
How many treatments will I need and how often?
This depends on the nature and stage of the condition, your overall health, and the degree of pain and urgency. With very acute conditions and recent injuries, we may treat daily, but the normal pattern is two or three times per week until the symptoms are clearly starting to go. Some conditions, such as simple back pain, may resolve in one or two sessions.
What about my conventional treatment?
The therapist prefers that your doctor knows you are receiving this treatment. It is hoped that any non-essential drugs can be reduced or eliminated over time and your doctor needs to be involved in that.
What else do I need to know?
For best results it is advisable not to bathe or shower for two hours before or after treatment, as the optimal effectiveness of the treatment will be disturbed by the washing of the skin.
